In this scene we can tell this character is quite strange and peculiar. As his costume, hair and make up are not something an ordinary person would wear every day. Also his make up by his eyes make him look a bit evil because it darkens his eyes. As well as, his hair covering half his face makes I'm look mysterious.
In this scene Ramona is lit up brighter than the two characters behind her. The lighting here shows that she is of more importance and is the one that Scott is focusing on. Also it tells us that she stands out and is different from other people.
In this scene Scott's facial expression tell us that here he is confused and worried about what is going on, and clearly doesn't know what to do. It shows that his character is not used to conflict.
